Clutch problem :-(
My 2002 wrx turbo is standard apart from a prodrive exhaust and a forge d/v as far as I no but I haven't got a boost gauge so not to sure what it is boosting to anyway it pulls away fine and drives fine but if I try putting my foot down say on a bypass the clutch seems to slip really bad but doesn't do it in first gear if I pull away hard I'm guessing my clutch is goosed but just want to confirm this before I go out and spend on a new one?
If this is the case there's no plans for big power as it's at 116,000 so don't fancy messing with it just a turbo back exhaust system in the near future so what could I get away with buying? I don't race it or ever take it on a track it's my everyday car, can't see it ever hitting more than 300hp if I do decide on engine mods

yes its just your clutch worn out buddy. i have just done the same on mine clutch kit including thrust bearing and also pilot bearing.
im using standard exedy clutch in mine. you ideally want the 230mm clutch kit. dont use any cheap ebay ones.
im sure it should be fine upto 300bhp

That's what I was afraid of :-( how come this is so cheap? But it's from euro car parts so surely a warranty must be given of some sort?

There was a thread recently about the exedy kits from there, apparently a lad bought one and it was slipping on standard boost just after it was fitted! Beware of fake kits.....
Look at the trader announcements aztec are doing great deals on exedy kits ATM even tho I haven't received myne yet :/

Ok so Aztec do a 225mm organic clutch with anti judder for £120 but they also have a 230mm for £160 just wondering is the extra 5mm worth paying the extra on a pretty much standard wrx?

Yours will be a 230mm on your car, that being said a 225mm will fit on a 5 speed, so its up to you, many people will also tell you to skim flywheel or fit a new one, but again I spoke to "specialist" and some said yes you need to skim and some said its fine not too..
I fitted my own clutch and flywheel was fine, I cleaned it up with brake/clutch cleaner and sandpaper and its been Perfect NO judder or slip,
