Could be the clutch slave cylinder playing up if stood a while then faulty.
Could try bleeding the system of any air(like brakes), there is a bleed nipple on the Slave cylinder to do this(easier with 2 people).
If clutch pumps up then is ok then poss new cylinder needed.
Hope this helps.

Hi buddy .... I had this problem last week after a clutch change, Basicly will go into gear when not running and when the car is running It won't ... As said above bleed ur clutch slave and should cure ur problem u can pick up a bleed kit from halfords for £5 / £10 which dose a great job and there are plenty of write ups on how to bleed it is simple and fixed my problem
If u have any questions feel free to ask away
