Default My First Scooby

Hi Guys and Girls.
I have been a member of he forum for years pretty much dormant but have just bought my first Scooby.

It's a W reg 2000 UK Impreza Turbo.
It has an Alkatec ECU, VF24 Turbo, STI gearbox and Diff, New Age STI TMIC with water mist, 3" wrapped bellmouth decat downpipe into 2.5" straight through exhaust, Ninja back box, FuelLab pressure regulator+guage, STI strut brace, HKS bov, lightened flywheel, exedy pink box clutch, ported+polished heads, ported standard headers and a Rodger clark motorsport 290lph fuel pump.

The engine build was done by API Subaru Specialists.

I don't really know much about them so have a lot of research to do and looking forward to learning more about it all.

Any suggestions or comments would be great.
I am going to get booked in with Andy Forrest for some mapping to make sure it's all good.

Cheers.
Tark.

Thanks.
I only got it today so not took many photos as the weather is terrible and it needs a good valet.
These are the only two I have that I have taken myself.

I have gave details of the engine so here is the rest of the spec as far as I know:

KYB Suspension
P1 Front Splitter
Bug Eye STi rear spoiler
STi rear lights
18" Inovite STiv wheels

Stand out car in Total Impreza July Aug 2010 from the JTS 2010 show. JAE Show and Shine winner in September 2010 and Magazine Feature in Total Impreza in Jan/Feb 2012.

It's currently got cream leather front seats from a wagon but I think I will change these. I have the original front seats but there is an issue with the cushion mount bolt.

Think that looks great. Maybe gold wheels of some kind would set that off even more imo

Real nice buddy! Only thing I would change if it were me is the spoiler I'd swap it out for a V6 STi as I don't think it sits right on the boot but entirely my preference ofc!

Thanks guys.
Part of me would like to return it to a more standard looking car even though I like the way it looks at the moment. I would have to have a look and see what spoiler it should have on or eve what the P1 should have so it matches the front splitter. I like the 18" wheels that are on it but was thinking the ride would be better and handling better on smaller wheels and then have a set of sticky summer wheels and some winter wheels.

It is certainly loud! Not sure if I should do anything about it. I live 1/2 mile from anyone else in the middle of nowhere so shouldn't be too much of an issue.

The car is not perfect and nowhere near show condition but I will get it tidied up with some spit and polish sometime.

The oil pressure gauge seems to work only now and then so not sure if it is a wiring fault or the pressure sender faulty. Will need to investigate and do a search on the forum but any pointers would be great.
Cheers.

And if you look closely you may see the black leather interior.

There has been no changes to the exterior but inside has had a lot of work:

Then in with the new centre console including handbrake surround and arm rest and Sony stereo:

Front leather seats:

And in the rear:

Door cards also replaced to match and new Alpine speakers fitted too.

Do you like the seats? Never been a fan of the leather interior.

Yes I do like the leather interior. I think it looks, good, smells good and doesn't seem to suffer the wear as much on the edges as most cloth seats I have seen in other Scoobies. Certainly less stains, pulls, bubbles, bobbles and holes than in the interior it was replacing so I am happy. Granted leather will not hold you as well in the corners and can be hot in summer and cold in winter but thats something I can live with.
