Default Upgraded Dump Valve

Hello, I'm new here. I have a black blobeye Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2005.

My current dump valve appears to be on it's way out, looking to get something new which can cope with the upgraded engine upgrade. I don't want a chavvy BOV but I'm struggling to find a recirculating valve that'll do the job.

Any suggestions will be great appreciated!

What do you have now?
What are the engine mods?
Any idea of the power?
TMIC or FMIC?

Currently I have the standard one, the engine was rolling rolled at 350bhp with an engine chip.

I've seen the forge one but I've not seen many reviews of the recirc one.

Not sure what TMIC or FMIC is sorry

Standard recirc dump valve is more than capable of 350bhp and upwards.

It might be capable but mine is on the way out as it's failing to hold pressure at higher revs, so I want a upgraded one.

I think quite a few people would recommend just putting another standard one on it rather than an aftermarket one!

Theoretically the HKS SSQV is the only dump valve / blow off valve on the market that uses its own boost pressure to hold itself shut. They only failsafe design that doesn't rely on just a spring to hold boost. You can get a recirc adaptor for that so if you want an aftermarket one i'd personally recommend that one!

I have a HKS SSQV vent to air on my 06 WRX and the car was mapped with it on and fuel corrected for it. Good fun!

Indeed - just replace it with another OEM unit.

As above, a new oem dump valve will be fine.

However, is be more concerned about the 'chip'.

I'm not very engine savy so not overly sure was done to the engine, I brought the subaru off here and has all the documentation to show the 350bhp. I'll look later

In fairness I only said chip as I wasn't really with it this morning, I spent most of the night chucking my guts up.
Details of the so called "chip" include remapping, sports cat, full miltek system and it was dyno'd at 337 before the clutch went which has been replaced.
