Default bootlid adjustment

is there any way of adjusting the bootlid as mine on the n/s sits further back than the o/s and i want to adjust it so its right

yep, loosen the bolts holding the hinges to the boot lid until it slides.
TIP: mark carefully round where it is at present with a felt-tip so you know how much it's moved and in which direction.

the holes in the bootlid and hinges are not elongated so when you undo it it just stays in the same place

There is a little bit of movement, not much but did work on mine.
