Crap and pointless at standard power
A decent panel filter and remap is best value

The whole thing looks like a piece of crap, and yes a panel filter is far better (I have a genuine STI high flow one if interested) unless your mapper has told there are restrictions that could be improved upon with a maf killer

You can polish a turd, but it is still a turd.

if the intake is for show purposes here is a fantastic carbon induction kit from tegiwa

http://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa-...a-wrx-sti-109/

pic I found online of the carbon induction kit fitted

below is the gruppe M one which is exactly the same as the tegiwa one but In my opinion the carbon weave on the tegiwa looks much nicer

as people have said the standard airbox is good for high power
but if you are like me and want your engine bay to stand out the tegiwa induction is good.

will be getting this kit myself but I am doing other things on the car at the moment but will get this soon enough

I had the ep3 civic type R tegiwa carbon airbox induction kit on my last civic
and the quality is extremely good so I know the quality of the impreza one will be the same.

@NISMO
did you get this in the end?
does it work with the standard box and I assume it needs mapping in?

Thread revival aside, I have the GruppeM on its way to me.

I also bought one for my Evo but it doesn't fit around the HKS cooler pipes
