Hey guys, had car for 6 months now, and Im going to give it a well deserved service.
Just wondering whats the general opinion on oil?

Serviced my blob sti a few months ago using genuine subaru filter and used millers cfs 10w50. I used the 10w50 oil as my car has a few mods and previous owner also used this grade of oil. If its a standard sti i would have probably gone with a 10w40 oil. I think the make of oil you use is a personal choice as everyone has there favoured brands.

 

Yeah I was thinking 10w30 or 10w40 as car is standard at the moment. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks Ste

 

I was advised 5w 30 ?

 

depends on mileage and mods,120k on clock I use 10w40

 

75k miles, no engine upgrades

 

Running 5w30 in my type R in the winter

 

Millers cfs 10w50 and a black subaru filter in my slightly modded blob STI
