Default Anyone know the difference?

I have a version 3 WRX that suffered from a damaged exhaust valve on cylinder number 3 but when I went to change the nearside head gasket before putting it all back together I found this

I am now looking for a new exhaust camshaft (J8) but I haven't found a WRX one yet but my man has a set of sti version 3 cams. Does anyone how they differ and if they will actually work? My engine has over bucket shims by the way.

Thanks

I know the V3 cams have a different profile and under bucket shims, so presumably you will need the complete set up and not just the cams.

it's in for a remap as soon as it's bolted together anyway I think I have sourced a replacement cam this evening but it's good to know that you can also use sti cams if required.
