Default Bugeye leaking boot HELP

I keep finding water behind my drivers rear light in the small well of the boot.
I have put new sealent around the rear light and all around the boot boot lid.
Still water keeps getting in, not to sure what else to do.
Does anyone know if I can take the window seal off to clean or replace?
Pic below of the window seal.

thanks
lofty

Exactly where mine was leaking, I placed tissue under each spoiler bolt and the brake cable on the inside of the boot to locate the leak was where the cable for the high level brake light came through, easy fix

The spoiler bolts should have washers but as with most washers they perish, mine weren't in the best condition when I changed to a genuine spoiler.replace washers or run a bead of sealer all the way around the base of the spoiler.

As above, use this stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...at=0&_from=R40 NOT silicone, Tiger Seal etc.

If it's not that, remove the rear light, clean off old sealant and reseal with that stuff.

From the inside of the arch you mean when im driving and the wheel is spraying water up behind my arch & through a hole were the brake cable is ?

when I got inside my boot today and my mate sprayed water all over the boot and roof there was no sign of a leak. (was a tight sqeeze im 6 ft 5 lol),

Silly question, but do you park your car on a sloping drive???? Ive had this on a few Subaru's when I park the car on a hill/slope the boot used to fill of water!! But could be a number of things, Like already said, boot spoiler holes, rear lights???

it will be where it bolts to the boot, it wont be a genuine item if it has no brake light so wont have a rubber seal like the oem versions, water always sits on the boot and leaks through

Its not an original spoiler then, think i may just take the whole spoiler off then & reseal the bolt holes and spoiler.
Cheers
