1996 limited edition prodrive pd96005
Hi to all. Im trying to find out a little more about my car.
I have owned this car for around 6 months. Its a rare 1996 prodrive edition. My research on this site tells me I have limited edition number 5 of 25. I have email confirmation from prodrive that the vin number confirms it is the genuine item. It has a gold plate under the stereo with pd96005 on it.
I know two other cars of this edition still exist as the owners are on this forum but any further info would be appreciated as most people dont even know this edition exists. Does anyone know of any being sold in the past few years for example? Anyone know exactly how many are left ect. Any info appreciated..
Thanks

In the email I have here it says
It was built by david hendry with parts supplied by prodrive.
Recaro leather interior, suspension kit, large rear spoiler, driving lamps and wheels. It was then fitted with the prodrive performance package.
Prodrive did a limited edition of 25 impreza turbos in 1994, 25 in 1995 and 25 in 1996 . After 1996 they opened there doors to the public.
So in my opinion these cars are a little peace of prodrives history.

I take it no one knows if any have been sold recently?
I may sell it later this year but ive no idea what such a rare car could be worth so I dont want it selling too cheap.

To the OP, in theory given that only 75 were made this is a pretty rare car, but in terms of value originality will be the key, it would be essential that is has the right wheels for example, along with the seats and the carbon gearnob (assuming 96 models had this). If it has all these bits on it and the history is good - original receipt showing all the extras, FSH etc, and of course the cleaner the better (it may well be worth spending a little on to make it very presentable if it isn't already), then it might fetch a pretty penny, though as Matt said perhaps not a gold mine.
That silver one doesn't exactly look its best, and the other Impreza's that dealer have don't inspire too much confidence, but it does look to be mostly original so perhaps not too far wide in terms of a guide in value
