I really don't see the point in those cat flaps.
Fair enough if it comes with it from the factory like the spec c, but £275 to cut a hole in your roof...

That's in used condition (unless the webite's wrong).
The handles are quite inexpensive though - about £23 delivered by expressair from Japan (until Parcelforce slam another tenner or so on).
And you might call them cat flaps but don't mention pu$$ies
Anyway, fwiw they are brilliant road safety features.
Flap up prevents the car - sorry driver - from doing more than 45mph in a dead calm.
I'm know I'm going too fast when the missus reaches for it.................

Sure, if it's a rally car, or an identical rally rep, fair enough, but otherwise I can't see the appeal.
Like buying a GL and cutting a hole in your bonnet to fit a vent...pointless.

Tongue in cheek there ScoobyNoob79, google "because race car" probably make things clearer.
To be fair it's not the same as slapping a scoop on a car without an IC as it still does provide ventilation

Absolutely...but it still actually achieves something whereas a vent on a GL achieves sweet FA except but confirm the driver is one cool dude

They are the best aircon system you can get in the summer, I would open the scoop and guaranteed everyone would be cool enough in under 5 minutes

Why try make a car look like something it's NOT.
It's like putting sti badges on a wrx FFs.

Rubbish as the above serves no purpose where as the flap has a function!
My classic has it as standard and I had one fitted to my blob.

True but changing badges serves no purpose other than as you say making it look like something it isn't. The flap serves a purpose.

Actually balances air pressure so your ears don't go pop
And very handy on a competitive day or even a track day on a hot sweaty drive ... You can't open your windows then

my comment meant that if it came out of the factory with it then fair enough, you have something special and rare,
Example, turning a car into something that it wasn't in the first place like turning a wrx into a sti?
Tounge and cheek

Is there a link to buy the handles?
I fitted on on my classic and was wondering how to tell if it's a spec c or a ra flap?
Thanks

Its called modifying a car to your liking and its a roof vent that let's extra air in ,,, hardly sticking sti badges on is it and can't see any badges on mine apart from the sti ones on the rear so can't see how I'm trying to be anything other than my own sti
But I am building a wrc rep with decals so think we won't see eye to eye on this anyway lol

It must have been the ra flap then. It had the small bar to attach the hinge to.
