Standard 5 speed in bug wrx was 80mph 3k in 5th If I remember correct

Don't know if this helps you

Does your car rev high when pulling away? If so could be your clutch slipping?

Have you got a close ratio gearbox ? that is the same readings as my V2 STi import, As mine will only do 120mph flat out but still has the limiter on so i think its 112mph.

In my WRX blob I'm pretty sure that it's about 26 mph per 1000 rpm in top gear.

Get the code off the box and I'll check it for you.
Open the bonnet and lean in, the code will be on a white sticker on the right hand side (as you look at it) of the box.

You have a short ratio box in the car, original probably shat itself at some point and replaced with one from an RA or Type R, unless it's an RA you actually have.

Well it pulls ok lower down the gears. But doesnt really pull that well in 5th when u boot it from 60 even when its on full boost. But then it is only running 15psi.

That needs to go up.

I'm pretty sure that's not an RA box

TY752VB3CA 3.454 2.062 1.448 1.008 0.825 4.111 B

Early Ra boxes had a 3.9 diff

Your car is a V1. Gearbox is correct for the model, not close ratio like the ra.

Put some pics of the car up.

The original STI (v1) is a B series car, the STI Version 2 is a C series car.

WRX's don't have version numbers remember.
