Default Urgent turbo fitting advice please!!!

guys,

im fitting a md321t, I removed the banjo bolt that goes into the engine block, thinking the one on the end of the braided turbo hose will just fit right in.

however that banjo bolt is connected to what I think is the avcs line

do i leave it unconnected, if so where is the oil going to go?

How do I connect the turbo oil feed to the block???

Does the banjo bolt that came with the turbo go through both its own round oil restrictor thing and the avcs one?

Please help its going to get dark soon and I dont have much time to get it fitted:not worthy

You shouldnt need to remove the banjo bolt from the avcs pipe.your feed pipe for the 321t should screw straight onto that.have you got the correct turbo feed pipe?

bigarf many thanks for the reply!!!!

the braided hose that came with the turbo has a round bulbous type fitting which I think is the oil restrictor, and then a banjo bolt through that.

have I got it completely wrong and the turbo banjo on the braided hose fits between 1 and 2 on this pic? The banho bolt looked a bit big to fit in it if it does.

Does anybody know how to unscrew that bit without snapping the line?

the line is just bending all over the place and the bolt refuses to move.

managed to get the bit between 1 and 2 off, however, underneath is a tapered threaded section, there is no way the banjo from the turbo hose is going to screw into that.

The turbo I have came off a classic, do I need a new age specific turbo braided oil hose?

car is a widetrack blob

it sounds like you have the wrong feed pipe.i carnt be sure unless I see it though.when I fitted my last 321 turbo the feed pipe came with an adapter that screwed onto the hard avcs pipe first as the threads were different, then the feed pipe screws onto that.
