Newbie Forester Advice
Morning all
I am looking to purchase my 1st scooby, a forester shortly and would welcome any advice you might have, budget is around the £6k mark and ones ive seen vary from 05 to 57 plates
I'm going for a turbo and would prefer a manual over auto but would like to hear any thoughts from owners
thanks in advance

With that budget I would be looking at a 2.5 xt or the face lifted 2.5 xten.
Bear in mind that the 2.0 version is a de tuned WRX engine with only 170ish bhp. The 2.5 is 225 bhp.
As with any car buy on condition, not mileage or number of owners.

thanks for the advice!
Going to see a 2.5XTE and 2.5XTEn hopefully sunday, not sure about the auto though but seems more for sale than the manual?
There used to be a forester STI up the road from work, sounded fantastic!!

Have a read up on the 2.5's issues and the secondary air pump problems. Great cars but do your homework thoroughly before buying.
And if you haven't found it already www.subaruforester.org is a great resource. American based but the Europe section is friendly and knowledgeable
