Question

Hello all,

Posting this on behalf of Glen4 as he's tossing it off at home . He has just aquired a prodrive spoiler for his X plate turbo. Lucky bugger.

Has anyone fitted one of these themselves as he needs to know what, if any gasket material anyone has used to seal under the spoiler, ie sealant or foam.

Also there is a 3rd hole in the Prodrive spoiler at the top, is this needed or can just the 2 original ones be used?

Having just fitted a DRM WRC wing, I know it helps to learn from others, comments / help appreciated.

Exclamation

Don't know if there is a sealent between the spoiler and the boot lid, but an extra hole needs to be drilled into the bootlid.

Hope this helps

As far as I can remember the spoiler comes with a fitting kit that includes sticky back foam strips to seal the spoiler to the boot lid. Painting the drilled holes with touch up to rust protect can't be a bad idea tho.

Cool

The spoiler comes with thin strips of self adhesive foam to put round the edge of the spoiler where it bolts to the boot. All the holes are in the boot skin, but you need to drill through the underskin on the front two holes nearest the rear screen. I then put grommets in the underskin to seal it and hide the holes.
Hope this helps.
Top spoiler.
Cheers

Hi Mark
Did Glen get his spoiler from Bob up in Bristol?
I would have liked it myself, apart from the fact that it was the wrong colour. I just can't warrant the expense at the moment either,

G'day Bob
are you really gonna sell it, if so what are you gonna get? you'll have to spend a packet to get the same performance as you've got now.
