Default 3 port boost solenoid question?

I've got a 3 port solenoid fitted to my type r I have recently bought, it has a pipe going to the turbo inlet, a pipe to the actuator and a pipe that doesn't go anywhere, I'm led to believe that this should go to the airbox if I was running one but I'm not, I'm just wondering if this should be left to vent itself or if it should be piped into the spare outlet on the inlet manifold??
