Default Finally got my Rota Grids on!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got my ET38 18x9.5 Rota grids on Had these wheels sitting in my garage for 2 months and its been killing me not seeing them on my car. they had to be powdercoated gloss black as the standard Rota alloys are a matt black and I always think they look dirty when brake dust gets on them.

Anyway, these are fitted to my 2006 hawk STi. I have Eibach coilovers fitted, but I have done no arch work to the car what so ever(at the moment). And I had no choice but to fit 5mm spacers to the front as they where catching on the Brembos, I tried 3mm spacers but they where catching on the calipers!!!

The tyres are Vredestein 225/40/18 that I bought of e-bay for £50 with 4mm tread, wanted to make sure that Im making the right choice first before I start paying loads of money on brand new tyres(trial and error), but so far quite happy, but ill see for the time being, as im thinking 235/40/18 next.

The rears catch ever so slightly with 2 people in the back when going over speed humps, and I mean ever so slightly, but might try and cut back/smooth the slight lip on the rear arches and see if it helps or try and run a bit more camber???

Anyway here are some quick i-phone pics, ill try and get some decent pics the weekend with a proper camera when I've gave the car a wash and wax!!!

If you get those wheels you win hands down!!!! Will try and fit some of those HT auto rear skirt extensions the weekend and get proper pics up. You cant see the wheels that well on pics as the camera on my i-phone is crap!!!

Thanks for the comments guys!!!! But like most of our cars, there is always something else you want to do to them, Got a list of things I want to do, but no money and a moaning missus!!!

If I had to replace my PFF7's I would consider these but with a couple of serious reservations. At 9.5" they're too wide for 225 section tyres. The sidewalls look far too stretched - you do need some flexibility in the sidewalls. What offset are they? If much less than 50mm they impose some extra loading on the wheel bearings.
If they were available in 8.5 and ET50 they could be on my 'wish list'

As awesome as they look, they are for style rather than performance, I actually moved away from the Dub world because it was become more and more about 'stance' instead of practicality and performance, now its happening with Subarus!

I wish they would bring out an 8.75" version with the concave though
