Hi every1 I'm new to the forum I just bought my first subaru a 51 plate wrx a few mods decat dump valve grooved disks sti interior and only 40000 miles the car is in showroom condition although I have heard a little rattle when pulling off and when braking to a stop anybody have any ideas what this could be ?

Probably warped brakes or a knackered wheel bearing. Probably needs looking at if you're at a loss.

Check the exhaust heat shields for the rattle

Yep, I would say the heat shield too.

Where was the rattle - front, back, near/off side etc?

 

I would say its front off side or maybe middle

(I haven't a clue Andy, but someone will give you/us a good indication)

 

id check drop links on the front if it happens when pulling off or stopping

I would say if you have grooved discs that it will be pad rattle, especially if it co-incides with braking. You may be getting a bit of pad knock off - and welcome
