v2 wrx intercooler question
is there much difference betwenn the v2 wrx intercooler verses the v2 sti intercooler.
reason i ask i just bought a 6k ecu which i plan to use and want to upgrade intercooler. dont want/need front mount want to keep it standard ish.
i understand they are super rare but im in no rush.

the version 1 and 2 sti intercooler has a larger end rear tank and a silicone and alloy inlet pipe instead of the corrugated plastic one.

ARC intercoolers are a really good upgrade for V1/2 GC8's 
Don't waste your time and money on an STi one as there is very little difference if any tbh. I've had both and I couldn't see any difference and the y pipe has nothing to add in terms of cooling
This is mine. The important differences are the thickness of the bars and quality of the fins. In addition the tank capacity is larger. It's never going to be a FMIC, but at c.300+ it's fine for a modified mapped road car
I use mine on track with the ARC but you do need to limit how many laps you run before coming in. With a FMIC this isn't such a concern
