Default Possibly not bottom end gone!?

Ok ok so me and a mate have been checking the Scoob and thought we could check it all out.

Anyway noticed it wasn't knocking at first start up, then after about 5 seconds it started making that knocking sound

Anyway getting under the car I noticed the passenger side was blowing like a bitch from the manifold.

So I'm really hoping it is just a knackard gasket on the manifold.....?

Hope that's all it is!

It's always such an emotional rollercoaster when your car starts making a new/unexpected sound.

For the amount it'll cost it's certainly worth replacing that gasket to see if it is

I admire your optimism. If it's just a blowing gasket, it would usually do it pretty well straight away. If you're under the car, listen via a large screwdriver against the sump and block while someone takes the revs up to 2k or so.

I'd seriously just get it towed to a specialist at this point. I could be minor, but you can spend a fortune chasing minor possibilities and it's far too emotional.

Yeah going to mate, have it booked in already on Friday for pink install and gasket from turbo to down pipe doing... So will get him to sort me out first.. Hopefully got a guy to look at the manifold through the week.. Fingers crossed!
