Possibly not bottom end gone!?
Ok ok so me and a mate have been checking the Scoob and thought we could check it all out.
Anyway noticed it wasn't knocking at first start up, then after about 5 seconds it started making that knocking sound
Anyway getting under the car I noticed the passenger side was blowing like a bitch from the manifold.
So I'm really hoping it is just a knackard gasket on the manifold.....?

I admire your optimism. If it's just a blowing gasket, it would usually do it pretty well straight away. If you're under the car, listen via a large screwdriver against the sump and block while someone takes the revs up to 2k or so.

I'd seriously just get it towed to a specialist at this point. I could be minor, but you can spend a fortune chasing minor possibilities and it's far too emotional.
