just found this on another website

"So what’s it all about.. The Prodrive Performance Pack consists of ECU upgrade / removal of the 3rd catalytic converter. New burbly backbox and a stronger silicone pipe for the turbo.. Standard one is hardened plastic and was known to go *POP* when the higher boost levels were applied.

The second decat pipe the STi PPP has uses the OEM heatshields on top and looks like a cat but it is just a straight pipe in there.

The WRX has 3 cats (uppipe, downpipe, pipe after downpipe)
The STi has 2 cats (downpipe, pipe after downpipe).

The WRX PPP removes the 3rd cat in the pipe after the downpipe.
The 2.0 STi PPP replaces the downpipe cat with a Prodrive sports cat and removes the cat in the pipe after the downpipe completely.

Corrected.

2.5 STi PPP consists of OEM downpipe and second cat removal.
2.0 STi PPP consists of Prodrive downpipe/sports cat and second cat removal.

Both have heatshields around the second pipe and a bung for the lambda sensor so it can be mistaken for a cat
