Running without a thermostat ?
I had some overheating issues with my type r last week and the problem was a faulty thermostat not opening enough. I cut off the main body of the thermostat and put the rubber part back in and connected casing and pipes back on. So now im running the car without a thermostat. Is it ok to drive the car without a thermostat as long as i wait for it to warm up properly before giving it the gun ?

Its not ideal. The thermostat controls the flow through the system as well as allowing a faster warm time. It may not cause any issues. But CAN create hot spots within the system leading to such things as head gasket failure etc etc
