Correct load rating for Goodyear Eagle Assymmetric Tyres
Might have found a great deal on a set of 225/45/17 91Y Good Year AS2's.
Is 91Y correct for the Newage WRX and do I need the extra load ones?
Will standard load tyres be ok?

I wouldn't have thought that I wouldn't need them for tootling around town and the odd blast.
Only running around 240bhp and standard suspension.

Pretty sure the 91Y are the XL ones Chris.
The 87Y are non-XL.
Either are within spec for a 2005 WRX but generally more of the 91Y are sold so they are cheaper by a couple of quid anyway (mytyres.co.uk for instance)!

But after a bit of research each tyre is rated to hold 615kg.
Hmm, they are cheap though, at £270 delivered!

Cool. Will do that in a bit.
So, new goodyear tyres and having my wheels refurbished is only going to set me back £430. £160 for the refurb and he will fit the new tyres. (mate of a mate who I am paying cash!)
It was either that or get the front end resprayed. But now we are coming up to winter, think i'll wait to tidy the front end up now until the new year.
It is all coming together slowly.
Cheers for the help Chris.
