The 2006 ones (and possibly a very late 2005) will be Hawks. Up to 55 reg, they'll be Blobs, but you might get an 06 Blob. However, I don't know if Iain made any with those registrations.
The T20 is 2.0 Litre, the T25 is 2.5. Both are based on JDM cars but the T25 is more powerful (circa 350bhp compared to circa 315). However, the T25 is a 2.5 so there is the possibility it could have the same problems as standard 2.5s. I'm not sure how deep the engine modifications were.
I bought my T20 Blob in November 2011 and as far as I'm aware, only one other one has been on the market since then. They certainly are very rare.

I've asked the same question on here before, and no one could give me a definitive answer. I'd guess it's only in the tens, certainly not a hundred.
Mine's due for its service at Litchfield's in late October, so if I get the chance, I'll try to remember to ask him as I'd like to know myself.

Iv also heard only around 16 T20 for the hawkeye (love mine ) think there was somewhere in the region of around 50 odd T20s made in total for the blob and hawk, sure others will be able to say for sure though.

You're more likely to find a blob t20/25 than a hawk.
The t25 hawk is a rarer beast both on the road and for sale. The t25's have build numbers and last I spoke with Iain he said that he knew of only about 10 or so (I think) hawks that were left....the rest having been written off but this was a few years ago! In 'standard' mark 2 (hawk) T25 form the engine was running 415bhp. Mine was the prototype for the mark 3 version (never officially made as an edition -too costly as a whole car!) but the engine mods allowed the car to be good for around 500bhp -this was the same base for bob rawle's engine. I ran mine at 500bhp for a while while Iain was still monitoring it .....it was heavy on oil so we've decided to rebuild the engine and run it as a fast road car at about 420bhp-ish....should get it back soon but the build spec was safe power, longevity, stability and smoothness. In A-line form its pretty rare.
Thought about selling mine (personal issues meant I needed the cash) but thankfully managed to keep it....next problem is deposit for a house...hopefully can work something and keep the car!
It's horses for courses mate but if you just want a solid reliable fun blob then you'd find a jdm blob sti much easier to find with a wider selection than a type20.....but if you do find a t20/25 that you like....fantastic cars and great fun!
