Default bugeye JDM WRX 4EAT

Hi all

Does anybody know what is a good price for a standard bugeye JDM WRX 4EAT, these are very rare cars so i dont have anything to go on price comparison wise, it has done 75000 miles with the majority of these being in kilometres, completely standard and in good condition

Thanks for any help/ advice in advance

saloon > £4k (or if it's still in Japland > £7k)
wagon > £2k - 2.5k

are you looking at the white saloon?

Hi there

As already you said,JDM WRX 4EAT(usually with SportShift/Tiptronic) are rare.

JDM WRX 4EAT usually comes with AVCS,block is EJ205,bhp is 250bhp as standard(our has have after 88k miles 240bhp),brakes this is biggest minus point on the JDM WRX,just due older WRX can come with front 2pots and rear single pots...

There are been 3 versions of the JDM WRX 4EAT with SportShift/Tiptronic:
NB,20k and WRX itself

I've seen only JDM models equipped with SportShift,on Forester or Legacy this more common, but on Impreza is very rare over here

Price guide, not sure,as with every car is very subjective

Yes Jodie those I mean, they're very poor on New age or classic, agree if car is NA(Sport) then those brakes should be enough, but still I would upgrade brakes at least to Brembo or OE 4pots with better pads/discs combo

I think I'll go 4 pot so i can feel safe driving my latest acquisition

I'll sell my '99 wrx auto wagon once I've done that.

You are still looking for New age JDM WRX 4EAT with Sportshift/tiptronic?

Yes I would upgrade brakes at least, its worth at least for safety reason

If its budget then Brembo or K-Sport/D2 I would choose

Reshelling to Blobeye is great idea, but can be costly and time consuming idea

Maybe reshelling to yours 22b replica can be too good idea,at least you will don't need new shell

120,000 kilometres by any chance?

Sorry, couldn't resist it

Anyway, yet more proof of the benefits of belonging.

I hope you get the car and enjoy it.

All those above mentioned models are SportShift/Tiptronic models and as I said, only JDM models have this

NB version I think someone over here have,20k model we have, which is wagon(I've seen only 20k models over sale in UK as wagon only)

JDM WRX I think those I've seen too quite few,but in most cases has been manual

My point was that the speedo says 75000, and most of those were kilometres (I assume), so I think what you meant is that it had done far less than 75K miles.

I've learned something - that Subaru made an automatic (WHY ???).

And I still hope you get and enjoy the car.

As US Market is big and in USA are still very popular Automatic gearbox/transmission

Personally I love 4EAT with SportShift/Tiptronic,have before and with Works Bell NEO Paddle shifter is awesome to drive

Just shame they're not so strong,we are not broke ours at 350bhp,but what I know if you go above 350-400bhp they will broke and repair is very expensive,in UK is almost impossible find someone who can rebuild them,if someone will do this, price is much higher than over in USA

In NZ you could even buy the 2011 WRX STi saloon in auto and in WR Blue. Neither were options in the UK.

Being a wheelchair user I require auto anyway, the SportShift tiptronic with sequential gear shift should keep me grinning.

Newage turbo auto Imprezas are all SportShift tiptronic AFAIK
Normally Aspirated auto Imprezas both classic and newage all have the standard auto setup
Classic turbo auto Imprezas all have the standard auto setup

Jodie

JDM only has been Tiptronic/SportShift,you can have look on US models too,but all of them are same setup as is on older 4EAT,just gear stick/**** is slightly different and gear pattern is different too

Sequential or Tiptronic is awesome and we are really miss this,my recommendation is speak with Neil@Slowboy racing about the conversion to the Works Bell NEO paddle shifter,he done this for us and its worth every penny, best price is from RHD Japan
