Newbie buyers advice
Hello all,
After many years of wanting a 2 door Impreza I'm finally going to go and get one. I have been looking and watching for about a year and went to view one last weekend. It was a bit of a dog but it has made my mind up it's got to be a P1.
I am going to look at another at the weekend, I was after a standard one, as hard as they are to find. This one has an oil catch tank and fuel pressure regulator. I've never been into tuning cars but this seams like two strange mods without any others.
Has anyone come across this? I know what each part does but would anyone have any ideas why these are fitted alone. I can only think it would be to protect the engine?

The 2 door is a good choice. I prefer the look of the p1 but the type r is the better car for thrills. I bought I a type r but it i didn't last very long, it wasn't the best. My advice is try out a type r with good history, documents etc. good luck m8

A question I have thought long and hard about. I'd love the variable diff but the short gears put me off. I've read several bit about them being hard work at motor way speeds and being a UK car with easier to trace history just tips them over the top for me.
I'll go look at Hursts thanks.

Have you spoken to Scoobyclinic in chesterfield?
They may have a P1 coming in soon
The P1 was especially set up for uk roads, and made to counteract Japanese imports.
There are only about 500( out of 1000 made P1's now registered on the road)
Some people prefer the Ra or type r, I think it's down to personal choice
Regards
