I'd take a guess at cost rather than bhp, But if it is bhp surely it depends on how much boost you are running and also if you want a banana shaped one....

Japspeed pipes are in the way of overflow bottle...

Dan HDI is as avarage kit as the japspeed one... Perrin, APS, Hyperflow kits are 1k plus and not 200quid for a reason....

As above. Bang for buck the hdi outperforms the more expensive ones. It's more than adequate for 500bhp and beyond.

exactly proved and tested added to that i doubt many people ever crack 500 bhp or intend to.

its not a review on the net where dave says "its wicked innit" its proved with figures by harvey.

Well , we all know how it works in the market specially when a trader has to sell their product. HDI , Japspeed and now even Aztec re branded one are probably good enough for all of us but , it's all about the efficiency not only about handling the power . It puts a smile on my face when people quote , im running 450 bhp and it works well for us, but i reckon you'd achieve better results with a higher spec cooler. APS second hand can be handed for 500 quid these days . Fits perfect too , less hassle and dosnt look like halfrauds Christmas prezie...

At the end of the day this is just my opinion.. But backed up files of a test comparing the cheap and a bit more expensive kit would be interesting to see.

It's like with everything , Rotas , cheap exhausts , cheap coilovers , coolers, gauges etc etc..... For me a genuine second hand item is worth more then a spanking new copy .

it was tested by harvey with results to show its efficiency. not peddled by a seller untested.

he did post the test on here somewhere i believe.

so what your saying is mantazini you pay for the name regardless of whether its any good??

No !!! when you mod your car , you do your home work properly right? So when you choose something to buy you do a research about it so you can see if it suits you and how it will more be beneficial then the "other" one. Japanese stuff have been engineered , tested by themselves and a lot of people round the world ... It's just a bit more convincing for me not because the price , but because of the roots where and how it was made. Lets say BC coilovers , i know their good and do the job just as good. But i just doubt they would last just as good for a longer period like the higher end stuff cause of the materilas use etc etc.....

Like i said i's your choice how you mod your car , but i chose it this way ...
