There is a 5dr for sale in Private for 3.5K.

The seller reckons it needs a new clutch soon. Any idea who much that would cost?

Mileage is 99k - Is this a problem for Subaru's?

A new clutch fitted is approx £500, be it a Subaru one or an uprated one.
As long as the car's been well looked after with a FSSH the mileage shouldn't be a problem. CK1's done 85,000 miles now, and it's good as new!

What about the lack of an MOT?

I know it is only a very basic check but it does give some reassurance that things like tyres/brakes/.exhaust/ etc.. are in decent condition.

It seems like a bargain and might be a cheap way into a Subaru but I am not sure especially since the seller is not known on the board.

What does the panel think?

I noticed that the car is in Belgium which makes it a little harder to see, regarding MOT I would get it up on a ramp and take someone who knows Scoobies well (Steve Lawson) Springs to mind.

Sounds like an absolute bargain but as with any car get it checked really thoroughly, £100 for an AA Inspection or a pan European Inspection is well worth the cash if your buying something that looks like a bargain.

Stef, but how many engines and gearboxes has it had to run those 85,000 miles? And still run as good as new?
