Default End of an Era !!!

I knew the time would eventually come and it's with great sadness that my Scoob has been replaced after almost 14 years of ownership

It was ordered on 19/06/1999 and delivered on 23/11/1999.

Never hesitated at any MOT and not one advisory ever !!!

I decided the time had come to spend less on fuel and insurance after all these years & have opted for a turbo diesel so i bought an SRi Astra a couple of weeks ago.

It's ok as it goes and as i do regular runs to Cumbria the good news is i have managed 60+ mpg something the Scoob could only dream of but it doesn't excite in the same way at all

Strange to think i got the Impreza when i was 36 & i'm 50 this year

Quick shot of the Astra today

I will still look in here of course

14 years is a long time... A lot of people have a hard time keeping a car 14 weeks.
Well, you always need a sensible car... But I am sure your non-sensible inner self will start to scream for some excitement soon.

It happen to all of us... a boy always need his toy.

Good call. As you say, not like they're worth selling. I've got my UK wagon sat here sorn'd at the moment. Had a few people wanting to buy it, it's value to me far out weighs it's actual monetary value to someone else.

Only about £1500 a year in depreciation if you assume it's still worth about £2k.

Not too bad at all.

Omg classic windup
I think your the longest one owner on here and I'm the second with my wagon just. Afew months after you
We were both at the tts meetings when it started and you were part of us in the corner when I planned the NBO vision
My wagons worth £1600/1800 and I've allocated £3000 to spend on it over the next couple of years which is fincial madness ,but I have nothing else better to spend my cash on

The gloves are off
Who between is can keep the wagon longest
Bit worried about mine
Did 1000 miles in the last 12 months with it

Didn't keep my blue scooby for so long though as I like my new toy

But the Greenwagon is for ever

Yes Simons superb example is a very rare colour as best selling wagon colours were the mica blue or silver with a odd mica green knocking about
Think Simons red one and my green one was the only a few in those colour at the NBO 11
Wagons weren't a strong seller compared to salloons but you could get a washing machine in the back deliver it very quickly

I suspect we will always have them Lordy

Given time some will regard them as classic cars and lets face it they are less and less of them now !

From the NBO 2013

From it's last day as the daily driver [13 years and 8 months from new] at my cumbrian residence
