Yeah but a tank full, 49 litres cost me £72
So 245miles cost £72, so based on that I'd only get 340miles from £100!

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I drove from watford to Bournemouth, had the car mapped (race Dynamix), and drove back to watford on three quarters of a tank. I was well impressed.

Obviously driving like a fairy as I can't get that on a run.

160 around town and 220 on a run

I did a trip to Nurburgring two weeks ago and used £320 of fuel there, a few laps and back

It's ironic.
The less mpg a car does the smaller they make the tank.

PS by the end of the day I'll know if I've reached the holy grail - 250 miles between fill-ups !

Best I've ever had was 275-280 in my spec-c with a 50lt tank, only just made it to fill up and managed to get 49.somethin in it so was very very close to running out, Average 200 to a tank usually and a bit less when playing

I know what you mean.
I'm making a leap of faith today !

The first time I filled up I went manic as soon as the light came on but as I've used it I'm now confident that 'E' = about 4l left (most of my fill-ups have been 46-47 litres).

With rough mpg using Momentum and following a remap I'm getting 5.something per litre, so it should do 260-ish.
I'll probably bottle it and put some in from the can I carry ( ) (which is more often for the benefit of others - think I've only ever run out once).

351.4 miles is the best i've managed! Took 48.78 liters which works out at a rather good 32.7mpg

If you want big numbers can't beat my daily driver, 601.4 miles on 40.52 liters of the black stuff! 67.5mpg

This is not my saying, I read it on an RS6 thread but it applies the same for Subarus.
Buying an Impreza and worrying about fuel consumption is like buying a boat and worrying about getting it wet.

I went to the nurburgring a few weeks back. i did there 9 laps and back. So 1300 miles and £320 in fuel. So probably averaged 20mpg or 25p a mile LOL

it was noticeable that I was filling up 3 times compared to everyone else's twice

Phew !
254 miles at a cost of 48.2 litres.

Lower than average consumption (for me/it) but it's been mostly 9 mile commutes, a part of which is on a nice B road rat run and a part on a couple of long straight bits

Helps with route planning.

Interesting to know as I'm off to Wurthsee next year with my old VR6 lot and was wondering how much I'd need for fuel roughly!

I went to the 'ring a month or so ago in my 2005 STi, towing a trailer with 2 sports bikes on it and still managed over 30mpg.

I get 250 per tank on my my00 classic turbo for the last 13years

Fast short blasts for that

Once got 300 to the tank on a long boring motorway drive at a constant 60/70
