Default 2009 hood scoop paint oxidized

The paint on the opening of my hood scoop is oxidized. Inspection by a body shop said the clear coat is shattered, full of cracks, similar lacquer check from years past. Are other Subaru owners having this problem?

I have a Forester, it was suggested I ask in a WRX forum as they believed some 08 WRX's are having this problem. My Forester was built Feb 08.

Thank you in advance for your reply's.

I've requested good will from Subaru to repair it. Subaru requested the service manager at my local dealership inspect it. Service manager tossed accusations at me " Looks like a some kind of cleaner was used, I admitted to scratching up the area"
All BS, as it's only been hand washed, goes to a professional detailer every six months to be clayed and hand waxed. My detailer does high end vehicles such as Rolls Royce, Mercedes etc etc. Doubt he would be in business if he damaged paint.
Body shop said cracked clear coat can look like scratches.

No problems with what you've mentioned, But the colour match due to heat is crap. I've just had the whole front end painted on mine due to upgrade
