Evening All,

My Gold XXR 527's arrived today.

18 x 8.75

ET35

5 X 100PCD

These are going on my 2002 WRX STI bugeye. My question is what size tyre is suited to fit without arch mods and rubbing issues. Am i correct in thinking a slight stretch is needed?

I'm UNSURE 225 / ?? / 18

its lowered on tein springs, standard shocks!!

Hi mate,I've got the same car and wheels running bc coilovers,lowered by approx 25mm.
I'm running 225 40 18. Had to roll the rear arches as they were rubbing on hard cornering and bumps.

225s will be safe, you might get away with 235s - I have 235s on my 8x18 ET48 Rotas with a 50mm drop and no issues

I run 225 on mine without any real issues but did have to fit camber bolts on the rear as they did rub that was on a widetrack blob also.

Cool, looks like I will try 225/40/18 then. Hopefully the rears wont rub. If they do is arch rolling expensive? Not had to do it before and if so can anyone suggest a good place in worcestershire/west midlands.

I have 9" wide wheels with 225 tyres on and there is quite a stretch as will be the same on your 8.75" ones. I haven't bothered getting my arches rolled as I haven't had any bother with those tyres on my 2003 STI.
