And won at the Nbo for three years running
It won many trophies in car shows all over the UK And was the benchmark

Cars 7k over priced IMO, only a breaker worries about those kind of modifications, it's doesn't have the right mods to justify that kind of money. It's a lovely looking car, saw it at max power when it was first built. Sadly there's better on the market for much less :/

I think the thread title says it all.

It's all show.

Horses for courses I suppose but to me a car is for driving not standing about being admired.

Most of the ad. is pose not performance (no bhp figures eg.), what it's got, more than what it does.

And let's be blunt, you'd crap yourself every time you took it on the road.
Every loose chip would seem like a boulder, dirt and dust and you'd feel like a muck-spreader had been at it, and you'd have to hire a squad of mercenaries to stop some thieving tawt trying to get the fifty quid.

A lot of work's gone in and good luck to the seller but I can't see anyone coming up with that sort of cash for that sort of car.

As a dealer friend of mine said when he saw my specialised car - "how do you (ie. does one) value it when there's not many of the same to compare it with?"

Neil at eclipse did most of the body work and paint and I remember talking to the guy a few years back and in the time he owned it apparently it had nearly 100k spent on it, It was a standard UK bug at one point, How times change

Recognised it straight away, was in Total Impreza as someone above pointed out, I think September 2009.

The attention to detail was incredible.

I'm sure it's a lovely car but it does look gash in Orange, it is not how I'd have spent my 100k lol.

Anyone who has the dorrah to spend on that would probably spend another buttload speccing it to their taste. If it was me I'd want to take it black or blue for starters.

Stunning spec list but unfortunately its looking dated already. Engine bay it a work of art but as said, its up for twice what its worth and theres better out there.

For 100k I'd prefer to be doing 9s 1/4's and 190+ mph

Remember the car very well, Craig who owned it aka Delboy is a top fella couldnt wish to meet a nicer chap.

Lots of attention to detail gone into it in the years Craig owned it and needless to say won lots of awards too. There's one thing to say at least Craig drove it to shows etc and club meets, I remember the meet when he was showing us the sound system back in the days of the sportsman meets at troutbeck, Andy dodds aka Super-Roo placed his lighter on the boot spoiler as Craig fired up the tune, I've never seen anything Bounce quite like it. As for the £50 note in the rear bumper Craig hunted high and low for a fresh crisp genuine note in every bank in west cumbria. The reason behind this was he was fed up with everyone asking him how much it cost to build..

I'd pay £50 and that's only 'cause I can see a £50 note on the rear bodywork. How embarrassing.

Well I've mixed feelings.

Anyone who (allegedly) spends 100k on making a Bugeye look like that is imho completely off their head.

However, anyone who spends the time and money on what must have been a labour of love I say good luck to them. That's total dedication and deserves to be recognised.

But on balance, what sort of person does that car really 'do it for'?

I think an impressionable person who almost certainly wouldn't be a Subaru enthusiast.

yeah I agree cars are for driving, but lets be honest if none were for shows and no one done them for that sort of reason there would be no car shows to go too! other than the standard ones lol. yes it's not for everyone but it has certainly done what was meant I would have said and that was reactions and shows and for that well done to the guy that carried it all out.
it is over priced I would have said and wont get that sort of money for it that's for sure

I suspect it will end up being broken, I would imagine there is some serious money to be made from those mods.

In some ways it is a bit of a shame but it's hardly attracting buyers is it?

The real spec of the car isn't that good,certainly not as good as the one I'm building at present.
