Sorry to put a dampener on things, but it's a classic marketting ploy.
All TG (well, its market researchers) are interested in is the total number of votes cast, as a measure of the show's popularity.
Clarkson: "Well, we had over 5 million votes".
Sychophant: "Lord Patten, Top Gear is being watched by over 5 million viewers".
Patten, in his lust for glory: "Brilliant. Over 8% of the entire population watch Top Gear, yet another quality and innovative programme brought to the world by the BBC".
Self-indulgent carp.
How many REAL scooby enthusiasts say that the P1 is THE iconic Subaru?
So why let TG put words into our mouths??????????????????

Presumably the Kia will win, 'because more people drive a Kia than a Subaru'.
There is hope however.
Sky Sports headline:
"2013 Hungarian GP Practice Two: Sebastian Vettel still ahead as Red Bull repeat P1 form".
I'll vote for the P1 then. Clearly way before its time.

Exactly why I voted it. All the others were made within relative easy parameters as the industry knew it. This ripped up the parameters and showed what could be done.

LFA is the car I look up to.
Veyron is too big and fat if you ask me.
Not driven either though... but at least I can say I've driven many of the cars on that list even if some of those choices are a bit odd.
