ignition electrical fault. need some help/advice plz plz plz
i'm at my wits end with my v5 est.
its got the check eng light on (most of the time) but when it comes off it runs loads better. it spits back a couple of times then clears
different so called mechanics have looked at it and as norm looked and said ooooo mmmmmm rrrrrrrr while rubbing there chins.
i've had full service with 10mm leads, this that and the other
i went to roger clark m/s to get a alcotek ecu, l/c, anti/l, by golly green monster but when he plugged his laptop in it could'nt read any rpm. when he switched it off and was on the turbo timer it started to read the revs.
he disconnected the timer but was still the same so he thinks there is a prob with the ignition wiring. so is not been mapped.
i need someone that knows what there doing and wont rip me off. anybody know where i should start
i'm in rugeley staffordshire
thanks

www.scoobypedia.com as a guide to reading the ECU using the cars own systems. It does read like you have been playing around with the car though and may have caused multiple faults.
I suggest that the people who checked it, RCM and the very well respected mapper gave you advice which you should take. They would not rip you off and are probably some of the best Scoob specialists in the UK.
