My WRX JDM Classic was £620 about 18 months ago (insurance paid, but I saw the invoice).

I can't remember the precise reason it was that much, but the fitter did give what I thought was a reasonable explanation (possibly the type of glass used?).

Oh, and Ithink they were bonded, not squashed in (if you see what I mean).
So, I assume you can't get one 2nd hand.

Don't know if it's the same for a bug though.

Loads of bug-eyes being broken for spares, ask a breaker nicely to save you one....

Sorted !

There you are then.

Get a quote, tell your insurance company that you're saving them a bomb and see what they come back with.

Mine simply got done through insurance and cost me £75 as I had a huge crack from a stone which was flung up from a lorry on m4 on the way back from japfest at castle coombe.
The guy who turnt up (11 days after i called) from "Auto windscreens" one of admirals approved fitters said it would cost £700 (bar penny's) for the call out and fitting of the screen if had not been done via insurance
But i agree im sure there are smaller company's who would do it for half that cost

Interesting - mine was an Admiral-arranged company as well.
