Does anybody know this car.....
Hello, I have just took a silverimpreza sti uk in part ex is registration is cw03xfz ( known as the predator ) supposed to be 453bhp...... I'm just looking for any information anybody can give me on it.
I'm looking for any info on this car please, it's supposed to be 453bhp, but is only boosting to 1bar. Apparently been remapped by ecu-tech and been told that there may be 2 SEPERATE maps stored and may need to just change it over. But haven't to a clue how.....
Previous plates hat have been on the car are......
Gaz6980
Taz2414
Ck03bzm
P55evs
Rg9327......
Thanks to anyone that can help.

Have a look at this for more info on the dual maps.

I guess that with the Race ROM activated, you should have all the goodies on but best way to test is to change down gear when over 40mph and the car will rev but the revs have to be over a certain amount, not sure what. If the goodies are activated then I guess the better map will be activated i.e. 1.6bar.

EcuTek Map Switching allows dynamic selection of two sets of performance levels. To switch between these performance levels, the driver simply holds full throttle and toggles the rear heated window switch from off to on. This may be done with the engine off or on, so long as the ignition switch is on. The performance levels may also be switched from DeltaDash using the User Tuning feature.

You can change maps while stationary
Turn on ignition untill all lights come on, put the accelerator pedal all the way down
Then press the rear heated window switch, look at the engine light and it will be confirmed by:
1 flash (road map) drops boost and turns off all the features
6 flashes (race map) activates features etc

I owned the shell. Was my daily driver at 600hp.
I stripped it and sold the shell to a customer who had a written off jdm bug sti and did the mods that are currently on the car I believe still, using the bug sti loom, glass, box.
Forged 2litre md321t, my old hybrid fmic, ecutek remap. I put a running in map on it and it came in for a full map and there was an issue with the vvt. Basically it was right on the limit for the measurement point for the oe ecu. Sometimes vvt worked sometimes not.
I checked on an after market ecu and was able to adjust the pick up point locations so it worked.
Customer booked in for a syvecs a month later and never turned up.
I then had someone in north wales get in touch whom had swapped it for an evo.
I kindly sent him all the history from when I owned it not even considering he might use it to try and sell the car on with false claims. The car in current form has never made 453bhp.
The boost is low because the map was left safe with no vvt working and then ocassionally working.
Its a good basis of a car needing a full map to finish it off. Might be possible on oe ecu now or might still need an after market ecu with adjustable avcs triggers.

There is only visual indication of map change on the racerom which is hawk, hatch. 01-05 is able to have two boost levels and on sti jdm two maps but no way of indicating which map it is on
