Default Bespoke Offers - Shell?

There have been a few pointers about 5p/litre reduction on Shell through Bespoke Offers in the recent past and even having registered, I was unable to find them myself.

I guess it was a promo for the new formula but does anyone have any which are current?

They're a waste of time anyway, the maximum you're going to put in the car is 60 litres, which amounts to a massive £3 in a spend of approx £80

Not really, £3 is the price of a pint of beer, fill up 8 times and you could get pi$$ed on what you have saved.

no offers as far I can see.
some cant be bothered with the saving but i'd prefer getting a full tank of fuel and have some change from it for a coffee.

although I dont think you'll have enough of a saving to get a copy of "perfect 10" from the top shelf.

Downloading and printing out £2.75* notes is surely worth it. It's also the principle and it makes it cheaper than the local Tesco and Shell is more convenient for me.

* Max I have managed to get in after 13 year's of ownership is 55 litres.

I know, but you'd need to be running on fumes to even get that in.

Well, here in sunny South Shields you can get a pint of Guinness for about £2.25. In Yates or Wetherspoons you can anyway. If you drink that pish they call Fosters it's only about £1.99

Hey, that 'stuff' you have is not proper Guinness

Guinness does not travel very well, you will understand what I'm on about if you ever come to Ireland - North or South

£1.99 - seriously.
Is this normal pub price?

So how does the Guinness, which doesn't travel, get to all the pubs North or South?

Must be a piped network throughout Ireland. Either that, or we get the cast offs.

I said it doesn't travel very well.

The stuff you call Guinness is not as good as what we have in Ireland/N.Ireland.

I always though it was imported from Ireland, but it aint.

Sales of Guinness in Ireland and the United Kingdom declined 7% in 2006.[96] Despite this, Guinness still accounts for more than a quarter of all beer sold in Ireland.[97]

Guinness has a significant share of the African beer market, where it has been sold since 1827. About 40% of worldwide total Guinness volume is brewed and sold in Africa, with Foreign Extra Stout the most popular variant. The Michael Power advertising campaign was a critical success for Guinness in Africa, running for nearly a decade before being replaced in 2006 with "Guinness Greatness".[citation needed]

The beer is brewed under licence internationally in several countries, including Nigeria,[98][99] the Bahamas, Canada,[100] and Indonesia.[101] The unfermented but hopped Guinness wort extract is shipped from Dublin and blended with beer brewed locally.[citation needed]

The UK is the only sovereign state to consume more Guinness than Ireland, and the third largest Guinness drinking nation being Nigeria, followed by the USA.[102] The United States consumed more than 950,000 hectolitres of Guinness in 2010.[103
Probably Nigerian the stuff we drink, that's why it's cheap.

Regular pub price is around £3 - £3.40, the big chains I mentioned do sell it cheaper though.

You brew your own on the mainland.

They(the Guinness brewery in Dublin) say the specific difference between Irish stuff and English stuff is down to the water that is used.
We use spring water, whereas the English stuff is basic tap water.

I think Wetherspoons are like that wherever you are, I was in one in Edinburgh a few weeks back, exactly the same - about 3 idiots to every normal punter. The one in Sunderland is the best, if you don't have a single figure IQ and look like Neanderthal man, probably best to give it a miss.
