With you driving, about 18 seconds John

Joking aside I would have thought you were capable of 11.5 or so?

You could get 11.5 but you would have to be absolutely brutal with the car, as in drive its like it hired for the day lol More realistic would be a high 11 with mechanical sympathy

I suspect after that remap on 20% he'll go hell for leather when he gets the first opportunity to do so

As above pointed out Banny, high 11's is possible, low 11's are possible too with yours

We made on the Billet T 490bhp and 480lb-ft,awesome turbo on the 2.0L or 2.1L

On Methanol you should be able make above 470bhp(I wouldn't be surprised if you will made above 480bhp)

Your a braver man than I, i'd be nervous above 450bhp on standard internals to be honest, things could get expensive.

Good luck, i'm interested to see what you'll get with the meth and how long the engine holds out.

I think the sensible time if conditions are good will be 11.9. Low 12's will be the obvious ones.

I would be hoping for mid to high 11s with that spec and a decent run.

Nothing mate, not so much the meth as the extra bhp and torque, I know there are folks out there running close to 500bhp and a few that have run more.

It was nothing more than an opinion, standard internals are close to the limit at those figures, and I would not chance it for the sake of 30/40bhp and a couple fractions of a second.

But hey, your money, your car, your choice.

Should be seeing mid 11s, set up is just as important as the power.

I run 11.2 on 517 but will be hoping for a 10 this year

as I live close to santa pod I often go down to watch run what you brung.
11 second cars are very few and far between, most imprezas running road trim are around 13 to 14 secs some standard others fettled
I have seen very few get below 12 seconds, the ones that did manage it are running big bhp.
I think you will get high 12's in your car gaz

I know a few people with mid four hundred bhp on newage cars and they don't break into the 11's.

They're not trying hard enough. I managed 12.1 with 360 in my Blob without the rear seats. 450+ should be well into the 11s.

Should be 12's, whether it 12.00 or 12.99...it's a 12 , I've got too much mechanical sympathy and don't like to launch it, As far as I know it still has the factory clutch fitted so over 10 years old and knocking on for 50k, It's fine at the moment but I've got to get home in it too

Although I have removed mine for different (yet connected) reasons, the rear seats must only be 10kg~ (0.7% of the car weight), so I can't see that alone making much difference to be honest.

I can vary of 10kg do ending time if day and how much booze I've drunk

I know a guy called Jorge who can run an 8.8 in his newage if he removes the brakes

I only mention the lack of rear seats as obviously it wasn't full weight. I'm aware they don't weigh much, but they're so simple to take out I always take them out for any track stuff.

There are drivers and there are screwdrivers

Low 12s/high 11s I'd be expecting.

Its amazing what peopple think they actually need for an 11second car lol.

Its all very well saying 'you'll get this time' or 'it'll do 11's easy' etc but it all comes down to the driver. If you're willing to be brutal then its amazing how quick you can run. Very few 'enthusiasts' drive our cars like that so slower times are common. I echo Dans comment, I've been to the pod many times and seen imprezas of all shapes and sizes. Very few hit 11's thats for sure.
Take my old car for instance, everyone I spoke to said its an 11 second car all day long. Best I could muster was 12.7.
I also went along with Kaz and Harry one day. Kaz's S202 was circa 450 and couldn't get anywhere near 11's. Harry's blob was around 500 and again, ran 12's.
Now both cars in the right hands (nutcase) would run much much quicker as would of mine but most of us have a certain amount of mechanical sympathy. They are our pride and joys at the end of the day.
The RWYB days are all about having some fun, the most important thing is that you drive your beloved car home when the track closes.

I was at Elvington recently and could only manage an 11.3 due to weather conditions and mine is mid 600's so if he can run an 11.5 with 450bhp in a newage STI, I would wager he can't
