I have a 96' v limited number 960 something that has issues every mot with emissions as it gets tested on the 96' cat test.

Having looked at the exhaust which has a standard manifold, up pipe and downpipe. Then a 2.5" centre pipe and back box. It seems that it has a pre 96' exhaust setup with just one cat. Now I'm guessing that the car is based on a pre 96' car but as its one of the last of the 1000 run wasn't sold until 96'.

I need to get a letter from Subaru confirming this if possible and if someone can point me to a friendly contact that would be great.

It should still pass with one easy! Mine used to just pass decatted,Vosa rules have changed now so if a car was produced with a cat it needs to be present , maybe your engine isn't running right? Checked the condition of your plugs? Lamba senors working? Maybe your downpipe need to be replaced as the cat is worn

It had new plugs that were gapped correctly and check the light and no error codes showing so figured the lamba was fine.
