Default 2003 WRX STI PPP Spec

Hi,

apolligies if this is a stupid question but depite my trying have had difficulty finding the answer.

im looking for the full specification on a standard 2003 WRX STI with the prodrive performance pack added.

idealy Subaru's origonal specification. but anything will do.

main points im interested in are:

what breaks it origionally comes with.
whats the difference with the PPP pack.

the rest would just be for idle knowledge.

really know very little about scooby's as always been well out of my insurance range.

guess the most important one is the breaks as if there not up to handling the power of the car ( was a known issue on my celica GT) will be looking to upgrade straight away.

cheers Ross

Sti's come with a gold 4 pot alloy brembo 330mm disks. Not bad for road use.

Prodrive ecu remap (should be stickered)
Decat MidPipe (aka centre exhaust pipe)
Prodrive Backbox ( prodrive written on the top )
Blue Silicon Intercooler Y Pipe with prodrive written on.
Sports CAT downpipe

Actually I don't think the intercooler pipe was a standard part on the STI, it was only something they added for the WRX.

The fuel pump was upgraded as well and they replaced the gaskets based on the bill i have for mine from a previous owner.

Some insurance companies see the PPP version as a model trim, for example Admiral used to refer to them as the STi Type UK 265 and the STi Type UK 305.

I think if you basically explain it as a manufacturer-approved and fitted option you will see little problem getting insurance to cover it and if they are funny you should question as to why they are being so.

If you're doing the online thing, from what I remembee when you put your details in you'll get the option to put that car in on the drop down menu.

Admiral are very competitive on price for Imprezas and young drivers.

i was just doing it direct. ive only just renewed my insurance on the 1st June, them some T**t writes off my car on the 8th so just looking to change the car from the celica to the scoob, think ive done alright, they want an extra £250 for the rest of the 11 months, not bad considering im going from a 6k 190 break Celica to a 7k 305 break scoob
