Default Hi everyone! Blob eye HIDs

Hi all, new to scoobynet, so hello everyone!
I am about to purchase a blob eye (2004) STi type UK, so wanted to upgrade the lights to HID. Can anybody please tell me what kit I would be requiring (H7 H4 etc) thanks in advance!

AFAIK blobeyes have separate dip and main beam, so to do the whole lot you'd need two sets.

Keep in mind that strictly from January this year, they are an MoT fail.

And if you DO decide to buy, for heaven's sake DO NOT buy the cheapest set you can find....they are usually not reliable.

Dont do it, unless you have projecor lights the beam will be ****e and you'll **** people off if your coming towards them. I hate them with a passion. All the v dub seem to like them annoying gits.

If you drive towards me with them I'll crash into you as that's what they do, unless they are factory fit standard leave them alone.

Upgrade builds instead to some PIA, ultra brilliance etc or clean the lense cover with plastic x to bring them new again that should help you see better.
Unless its the Chav look your after?

Had them on my 2nd blob, they were on the car when I bought it, removed them and put them in the bin and went back to standard bulbs.

Further to this, should you decide to continue, do not do the main beam.

Because its shyte basically.
LOADS of light everywhere around you, but not really so much in in nice beams in front of you

Dipped on my 05STI were not bad overall, but I did have to dip the level by one notch on the in car adjuster to stop me getting flashed at.
I bought the kit from Aztec by the way, and had it professionally installed by an auto electrician.
Plus - with HID main beam, you can't flash your lights to sign people

How many cars have HID main beam though?

On dipped OEM, there would appear to be some sort of projector unit surrounding the bulb.
I can only assume that cars with HID main beam have something similar
