Default Help !!!!

Hi PPL when I turn my steering on my WRX it sounds like rubber rubbing together like a squeaky noise ? Its only when i turn tho ? Any ideas what I can check before I get it booked in the garage ? Thanks

Fluid level maybe (if you haven't already checked)

I had this and was due to the belt being a little slack, easy fix there's a bolt on the alternator bracket give it a few turns to remove the slack and you should be sorted!!! Well worked for me!! Hope this helps.

I've not checked the fluid level is this the power steering one ? And I will check the belt thanks guys will up date yous

Got a new belt today only cost £3.40 and hay presto it has stopped making that noise The old belt was nearly in half lol !

Noise came back FFS so I called to the garage I use up on the car lift and its my cv boot expanding with heat causing the rub quick squirt with lube and jobs a food 1 lol
