Default oil breathers

Quick question about oil breathers
My head breathers go into catch can and then Vta, but my crankcase one is still plumbed into the inlet and pcv valve. Is there anyway way of sorting it so it does not go into the inlet as getting I nice build up of oil in the I/c pipework.

in aword yes, if its a classic use a y piece for the 2 pipes from heads,so you only use 1 pipe to catch can then buy a 1/8bsp bung and replace the pcv with it, thgen block off 1 pipe from crankcase and plumb the other one to catch can, worke for me

There are a few ways to do it. You can route the breather to your catch tank or even use a breather filter & VTA. The PCV can simply be blancked off or you can keep it as you won't get much oil in the inlet from it. Do a search there are a couple of catch tank guides to help. Best with a 3 port tank though.

If your blanking the PCV, you should check your fuelling, as it will effect it off boost.

is that because the oil mist lowers the octane rating of the fuel, in other words with no oil mist the fuel will be slightly higher octane rating ?

No, because it pulls air after the maf from the breathers, into the inlet plenum when not on boost, so its been set up off boost with air being pulled through the pcv, so blanking the pcv will alter this ratio.

No as the air is still pulled in!
