Just wondering how many young Scooby drivers there are on this forum? I know with insurance costs it's a bit of a nightmare to own one of these amazing machines!

I'll start, turned 23 two weeks ago, STI Blobeye.

21 mate driving blob sti

 

21?? Impressed! Beat me! Is it tuned or standard? They kill you on insurance If it's the slightest bit modded.

 

A few years ago would have been one if the young guys : (

29 just! Got my Wrx at 23

 

Bought my hawk sti when I was 21. Been raped on insurance everynyear so far.

 

24 with a blob WRX here, only £700 a year fully comp, and thats with two drivers on the policy!

 

22 with a tuned blob wrx, owned for a year. Currently being rebuilt at api with forged pistons ect

 

28 blob sti with mods 358 quid a year full como and protected no claims

 

Had mine since 21 blob sti

27 now and still paying 850 insurance

 

Got my prodrive classic when I was 20.

 

Got my first Scooby ten years ago, classic v-ltd. lived that car! At 22 I paid 2700 insurance!!! Pa haa

Now pay 400 on my blob

 

I got my classic wrx at 24 and paid 2500 insurance had to sell it after a couple of years but loved it. Purely by chance I've just managed to buy it back 13 yrs later. Pay 400 now and still love it, feels like an old pair of favourite shoes!

Thats bloody cheap i'm 41 Max no claims car garaged etc i am paying 400 for a wrx ppp who are you insured with i plan to tune mine but insurance costs was putting me off

 

23 with hawk sti finally under 1k with 6 points, had mine since i was 20

 

Had an ra v ltd when I was 18 - insurance on the fleet. Now I'm 30 with an blob Sylwia again insurance on the fleet as I can't get my own insurance - because of being on fleet insurance I have no no claims

 

Im with directline I did get cheaper qoute else where but directline quite good company

 

I class my self as still young and im 36.

29 running a tuned blob sti. Had it since I was 24. I'm also with direct line and pay less than 400 a year

Can't believe the insurance costs on here - I literally spat my cornflakes out my mouth lol

Am 35, have 17 yrs NCD, no points and a Blobeye WRX PPP. I pay £600 a year - obtained via confused with LV last year.

I thought insurance was supposed to get cheaper as your got older? Feel like I've had my pants pulled down - and not in a good way!!

 

I pay 2200 a year, 400bhp Blob though, 23 with 2 years NCB. Hopefully drop every year now for the next decade to come!

 

21, Blob STi, just an exhaust mod. Paying a grand with Elephant. Hoping to add some mods and maybe change company in the summer to one more friendly towards such activities .

 

That's good going for a 21 year old, see it rocket up though once you start declaring mods, ah well you only live once
