As title says, do all the black blob eyes (STi) have gold fleck in the paint or was it an option?

Thanks

If it helps at all- the colour you are looking for is called 'Graphite Black Pearl' (Colour Code 18L)
My car is black with gold flakes in the sun although its not an STi

Okay thanks, I was looking for the paint code without the flecks in it. I take it that that paint code has the fleck in it?

Oops, sorry I didn't realise you were after one without. Yes, 18L is the code WITH the flake

I'm afraid I don't know the one without

There is "obsidian black", code 32J. This is black with no gold flecks, although it does have a slight "multicolour" look in bright sunlight. Mine used to be that ('05 STi) until I had it resprayed...black with loads of gold flecks

Yep the other has a few flecks of blue/green in it, Custom paint job if you just want a flat/plain black as far as I know all the blacks are a metallic of sorts with other colours in them.

Just looking on here: http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...baruPaintCodes to find my paint code and it seems that 18L was introduced in 2001, and the 32J was introduced in 2003.

Mine is an 03 STI and am i right in saying the paint code is stamped on the car somewhere?
