Default In Car Camera

I’m in desperate need of a good in car camera. On Saturday morning while driving to a show I got cut up really bad, so much so I was nearly forced off the road. My 3 year old boy and pregnant girlfriend were in the car with me so you can imagine how annoyed I was. If I had a camera in the car I would have pursued this with the police, not sure if I would have got anywhere with them but it’s always worth a try. As it stands though I have no evidence so it’s my word against his and I have to let it go

Im looking for a camera that will sit inside the car and record a good image so if anything else happens I can use it, I know some of you already have cameras so I am after recommendations please.

Thanks

There was a thread on here with a link to MLR where the guy had a good in-car camera c/w GPS. It was a built in system that started recording when you fired up the car. Caught a garage out that was ragging the guys Evo - after telling him his engine was fubared and needed a rebuild.

There's an app available for this I believe. If you already have a smart phone then its an option if you don't fancy paying out for a camera.

Go to your local police station and making a report. As above, your wife is a witness as well.

You never know, the driver could be well known and the police could be looking for a good excuse to issue some more process.

I like the look of this one, nice and small too so it'll fit behind the mirror

I have a 35 quid dashcam (like the russians all do) in my 08 WRX - it comes on with the ignition and really, you just forget about it all the time. Unfortunately, I haven't seen meteor fireballs or anything exciting but did get an amusing picture of some guy inches off the bumper who "didn't see" the mini roundabout.

Will do thanks Dave, have you used a wireless one? Just wondering if there would be any need to remove it from the car if its hooked up and in range?

I have the 400 - so not tried the wireless - I just flip the micro sd card out and swap another one in

I got two 32gb for this purpose to swap over - its an easy swap
