Default Prodrive Sports cat/downpipe

Much of an improvement on standard down pipe cat? I might be looking to put one on my blob sti, not sure if its worth it. Having car remapped at end of next week.

Anyone got one for sale?

Thanks in advance,

Max

I would say fella, at least 280bhp/290 torque. Had my standard Wrx blob mapped with one on with td04 and supporting mods. The only cat on now :-) Transforms the car. Just need it on the rolling road for exact figures
obviously yours will do a lot better than mine

Haven't had mine mot'ed yet so not sure. But all the guys i know have no problem passing the test. it should be fine if its nice and warm just before test. To be sure I'm going for a test before mot time.
cheers Phil

Passes MOT fine, doesn't even need to be warm.
Its the best way of keeping it legal yet freeing up the exhaust system.

I didn't think it sounded any different from standard downpipe to the prodrive one.
I ran mine with prodrive cat and rest straight through H&S and sounded great......have tried race tube for ultimate noise....settled on a Nur-Spec now...

If you can try and get one with the wide mouth not smaller 2 intake as they slightly more restrictive.

My Wrx blob is now same as a ppp sti underneath, so sti uppipe, Prodrive sports cat, decat centre pipe, Prodrive rear box, but does still have resinator before rear box. So it is louder than it was but the resinator box keeps it under control without box drone. So I'm happy with it
if you remove it, could be quite a lot louder me thinks

I don't know what make my sports cat is and tbh I am not 100% sure as to what the center section is but I do know that the rear section are JapSpeed Shotgun cans. Similar to standard looking box (twin exit) but larger bore and there is no back box, so its pretty loud anyway lol
My sports cat is a 3" bellmouth down to a 2" join to middle section.
