Up until japfest I would of said RA-R but after seeing a s204 up close I'd go for one of them every time ,,,but I think a lot depends on what you want out of it as I see the RA-R as more of a track based car and the s204 a bit more luxury

Neither is better per se than the other it is purely down to opinion.

S204 for me any day of the week.

It's more refined and a generally more pleasant place to be. It's also a very fast car in capable hands.

The RA-R is quite extreme. On a track it would be incredible but I'm not so sure it's worth it for use on the road, it would hardly streak away if being followed by an S204.

Ra-r brakes on s204, but I actually like the s203 better for looks.

But if importing you must be rich and love throwing money away and pay well over the odds otr price. But for a rare exclusivity then win win if you can afford.

You're bang on about the price busta.

It's swings and roundabouts on the exchange rate, in five or ten years Yen will probably be peanuts like they were in 2005.

It's crazy I know, I looked into it, but I had a budget in mind, but that went well over, so thought sod it I can't afford to throw money away like that,
But there is quite a few kicking about on the import websites, some right beauty's, but ask yourself why non are coming over here. People are not daft I suppose, unless the stupidly rich.

I didn't notice it, I must have thought 'just another Hawk'! How I didn't notice it I don't know, to be honest, I can't even remember where the SIDC stand was!

Out of interest what's the chassis difference between an S204 and RA or RA-R, is it solely the additional performance dampers on the s204?
From my understanding the inverted dampers, springs and pillow ball joints etc are common across all three?

S204 for me. Would suit my needs better.

Same reasons why I wouldn't swap my STi for a Spec C.

I believe the S204 was based on a JDM sti with all the sti catalogue thrown at it where as the RA and RA-R was based on the Spec-c chassis with the sti parts but the ra-r also had the 6 pot brembo brakes up front.

Thanks, so as the s204 is based on the JDM STI it has the standard glass etc and non of the weight saving from the RA and RA-R?

And as I thought all three have the same pink goodies.
But the s204 has the two additional dampers.
The RA and RA-R share all parts but have different turbos, brakes and 18's (and no wings on the RA-R).

If i had to choose, RA-R for me because it is based on a spec c and is raw. The S204 just looks like a spec D (appreciate its nothing like one)

It does look very VERY nice that one! Wouldn't mind the blue one they've got either mind...
