Default what gearbox

Looking at replacing my gearbox as it's started to whine since tracking at japfest
Question is what box to go for I wanna go import box for shorter ratio as not to keen on the UK box. But want to keep a 5speed that's good for 350

Newage wrx box is a good replacement but the sti 5/6 are good as long as you have a matching diff

The wrx ra box has the same ratios as the type r and sti ra box but doesn't have dccd. The sti 5/6 has slightly longer ratios than the other ones.

Sorry to hijack but what diff goes with the VBAAA? Would my (Type R) diff have to go with my gearbox if I sold them?
